Myrtle (Myrtus communis)<\/h2>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Small, round, glossy leaves. White flowers in June, blue-black berries in autumn. The basis of the liqueur of the same name.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2. Helichrysum (Helichrysum italicum)<\/h2>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A silver-grey cushion with small yellow flowers. A warm, spicy scent, almost of curry. It grows on the cliffs.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">3. Mastic (Pistacia lentiscus)<\/h2>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Arbusto resinoso dalle foglie composte. Resina balsamica (il \u201cmastice\u201d). Frutti neri a grappoletti.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">4. Strawberry tree (Arbutus unedo)<\/h2>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">An evergreen tree up to five metres. Edible grainy red fruits. White bell-shaped flowers in autumn.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">5. Prickly juniper (Juniperus oxycedrus)<\/h2>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Arbusto spinoso dalle bacche rosse. Cresce sulle dune costiere. D\u00e0 stabilit\u00e0 al terreno ed \u00e8 pianta pioniera del litorale.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">6. Rockrose (Cistus monspeliensis, Cistus creticus)<\/h2>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Pink or white five-petalled flowers like tissue paper. It secretes <strong>labdanum<\/strong>, an aromatic resin used in perfumery. The first to grow back after fires.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">7. Rosemary (Salvia rosmarinus)<\/h2>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Linear needles, pale blue flowers. It grows both wild and cultivated. A cornerstone and aromatic base of Mediterranean cooking.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">8. Tree spurge (Euphorbia dendroides)<\/h2>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Arbusto alto 1-2 metri con foglie lineari. A fine primavera perde le foglie e diventa rosso-arancio: un\u2019esplosione di colore lungo le scogliere. Linfa tossica \u2014 non toccare.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">9. Wild olive (Olea europaea var. sylvestris)<\/h2>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Antenato selvatico dell\u2019olivo. Foglie grigio-argento, portamento contorto. Vive centinaia d\u2019anni.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">10. Dwarf fan palm (Chamaerops humilis)<\/h2>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The only native European palm. It grows in low clumps, with fan-shaped leaves.
